Bonjour.

So life is not too shabby here at green acre. Since we just had Latin American Weekend we got yummy food, various types of ... Latin American food...haha. Our fellow Brazilian Volunteer made this Brazilian dessert, which was soo nice! It was like a choc ball.
Anyways, so i went to the book store the other day and got a new prayer book, its so nice! :) just a little one. But books at the book store is so cheap compared to the Sydney temple book store. So im going to take advantage of that! :) im gonna get a T-Shirt from there, but the one i want isnt there so i have to wait...
Hmm so what else... there is a beach thing right outside Sarah Farmer Inn and we went there the other night, its so pretty, and omg The Inn looked so nice from that angle, ill put a picture up. And then Last night the Paid staff did a BBQ for all us Youth :) that was nice, hanging out, good food, good company. Then we went out to the Dock/Beach to 'fish' and it was so cold!! haha well no not soo cold, but it was really windy and everyone was like its such a nice night! and i was wearing a jumper with the hoodie up...I have a feeling im not going to handle winter too good...haha
Oh and today and tomorrow is my days off ( we all have the same days off) so we are hopefully going in town to go shopping since Nabil (brazil) loves to shop, so we should be going soon... Very exciting! :)

Well thats all for now.

Update!

Hey Y'all!!

Soo its the 29th, my 3rd day of work today!!
Working in the kitchen is nice, it may be a little hard work with the dishes but i like it...for now. I got to cook eggs this morning (scrambled) and Julie, i guess she is like just below head chef, was like wow those are great eggs and said she has never given a ten out of ten for the first time eggs but mine were really good! hahah That was nice, but its just eggs...And i burnt my finger for the first time. But i really like the kitchen!! Its Big, we have a walk in fridge and a walk in freezer which is soooo cold! The stove is huge which i love, and it has like cooking rings like a normal kitchen and then like a metal plate like the size of a average desk which is pretty cool, and i cooked the eggs on that, and then they have a grill. Its pretty nice and easy! I got to have my first proper breakfast today cause we are having the latin american weekend with lots of guests. There was so much, and it was all very yummy!
So anyways this is just a small update on life at Green acre! Im gonna go to the bookstore and check that out after lunch and then back to work!

Byyyyeee.

HELLO!

So i wasn't going to make a blog for my adventure, but I've been asked so many times that i thought, Why not?! So here i am blogging away. Still in Australia, not leaving till 25th of May less then 2 weeks away.

If you don't know why, or what im doing in America, well let me explain. I think most of you know that im a Bahai, and as a Bahai youth, we are encouraged to go and serve while we are young and flexible and free. So seeing as i just finished school and i have no clue as to what i want to do, i thought this would be a good opportunity to serve the Bahai Faith (http://www.bahai.org/). And so, i wanted to go somewhere that i can speak English and I've wanted to go to America for quite a while, and BAM i picked America. I heard about this Bahai school called Green Acre in Maine, its not a normal school. Its basically like a camp, where anyone can come and they run talks and deepening's on the Bahai Faith for all ages (http://www.greenacre.org/) and on all different subjects! And they need people to help out on the grounds and in the kitchen and so on. Im going to be volunteering for minium of 7 months, but im thinking i might stay for a year... And im very EXCITED! A little nervous too! But more excited. Already got the suitcase out and slowly picking things i need to take with me.

So thats all for now,
i probably wont write again til im in America.
Byebye for now!

P.s. Here are some photos of Green Acre...Just picture me posing on the grass ;)
